The Israel Service Organization is a licensed non profit organization founded in 2007 with the goal of providing high quality entertainment and vital moral support to the Israel Defense Forces. Created by professional American musicians with over ten years of industry experience, the I.S.O. funnels its love of Israel and Her troops through the prism of music, comedy, and other programming. All of the I.S.O.'s performances are on-site, be they on an Army base, in an Air Force Hangar, or on the front lines.
The I.S.O. is a youth initiated program that continues to bridge the generations in fulfilling the pressing obligation to support Israel. Working closely with its board members, outside consultants, and members of the Israeli military, the organization is uniquely positioned to fund, organize, and execute programs all over Israel and North America. The I.S.O. is involved in a number of student initiatives in America and Canada, including the preparing of care packages, fund-raisers, and letter writing campaigns. All donations go directly to facilitating contact with Israeli soldiers, most of whom are no older than the students working on their behalf in North America.
Following the overwhelming success of the Humble Kings Project in Summer 2007--wherein the I.S.O.'s signature band, The Humble Kings, toured through a number of Israeli Air Force bases--the Israel Service Organization is ready to expand its operations. 2008 will see the organization visit with and entertain all branches of the Israeli military, as well as stage sports contests, cook-outs, and the like.
Lastly, the I.S.O. works to protect the reputation and integrity of the Israel Defense Forces. Israel's army has historically been--and remains--exceedingly ethical, never forgetting its pledge to remain a defense force rather than an offensive military. Unfortunately, traumatic events like the current Intifada, the second Lebanon war, and the Gaza withdrawal have seen several world governments and media outlets condemn the I.D.F. The I.S.O. is determined to help restore the Israel Defense Force's sterling reputation for humanity, dedication, and restraint.
